We recently received some peccary gloves from McGuire & Rubin. I happen to think peccary is one of the must under appreciated leathers on the planet. Peccary are smallish (45-85 lb.) pigs that are native to central and south America. All pigskin is known for being strong and ridged yet soft and supple to the touch, the peccary being one of the softest and strongest of the pigskins making this a perfect leather for glove. The interior of these gloves is lined with alpaca, a soft almost spongy wool that is quite a bit more durable than the typical cashmere lining.
