Right Now / Cannes Style
Le Festival International du Film de Cannes 2012 is in its tenth day as of now, and coverage of the outfits of celebrities at the prestigious invite-only event is always particularly interesting from a style-perspective. Yesterday, GQ posted its "Cannes Film Festival Style Report" featuring 50+ looks from the celebrities in attendance. While the formality of the event warranted an abundance of tuxedos, the few guys that really stood out to me ran the gamut from formal to simply chic to Bill Murray. (From now on "Bill Murray" is a "style".) Below is the OFFICIAL HUBERT TOP 7 LOOKS FROM CANNES 2012:
#7 Adrian Brody / Adrian Brody illustrating that the key to looking good in a tux is to be Adrian Brody.
#6 Shia Labeouf / A simple, classic grey suit, paired with being-over-it, is a perennially good look.
#5 Wes Anderson / Leave it to Wes Anderson to pull off wallabees and a creme/white suit.
#4 Tom Hardy / Tom Hardy gets #4 because I would actually wear this outfit.
#3 Bill Murray / Loud patchwork madras sport coats are passé, but this is a perfect example of looking "Bill Murray."
#2 Jay-Z / HOVA balling so hard in the classic American workwear piece - a denim jacket. Jay-Z is in multiple cities in France, nahmean?
#1 Chris O'Dowd / Chris O'Dowd gets #1 partly for the floral/tropical print shirt, and partly for being in one of my favorite shows.
