Discussion of Robert James Fischer (March 9, 1943 ? January 17, 2008), typically falls into two categories: his achievements in the game, and his controversial public persona. This is understandable, as he is considered to be one of the greatest chess players in history, and he said some pretty offensive stuff during radio interviews later in his life.
