When thinking of the finest custom shirts in the world most think
Italy, try Texas on for size.
For more than a century, the Hamilton family has been crafting America's finest shirts. Each is hand cut and sewn in their Houston workshop where they oversee all aspects of design and construction. Passed down through four generations, the message ?quality above all? has survived unblemished?in fabrics, workmanship, and especially personal service. An American institution worn by statesman, entertainers and captains of industry, Hamilton isn?t just a brand, it?s a legacy.
The year is 1883. The Brooklyn Bridge opens, Thomas Edison unveils his overhead lights, and Buffalo Bill Cody performs his inaugural Wild West show. In Houston, Edward and J. Brooke Hamilton launch Hamilton Shirt Company catering to the needs of an up and coming city. In the decades that followed, Hamilton steadfastly pursued perfection of its craft. While others opted for automation, Hamilton remained resolutely committed to its original artisan techniques.
Over time, a national audience began to take notice of the exquisite shirts coming from the unlikely locale of Houston, Texas. Barneys New York was the first retailer to offer Hamilton Shirts to their clients and others soon followed.
Hamilton is now the preeminent American shirtmaker, available through retailers across the country. Today, siblings Kelly and David Hamilton are ushering the company into the twenty-first century. With an unwavering dedication to perfection?Hamilton celebrates innovation while respecting the art of timeless dressing, providing customers with the unique privilege of customizable attire and the dependability of over a century of flawless craftsmanship.
